August, a month in which in many places in the Northern Hemisphere it is the height of summer. People are either fleeing the heat of the city and go to the coast, mountain or lake, or are escaping lousy weather and are going South. To coast, mountain or lake. Locals flee their cities and towns and tourist are filling the void. August, a month of cultural events, the schools and universities are still closed and so are some local shops.
August is harvest time, where one reaps what one has sown and one is preparing for an autumn and winter ahead. The end of August always meant ‘back to school’ or the start of a new (cultural) season. After a year in the Middle East and Lowlands Homeland the time has (almost) come to return to an old new life (or a new old one). And Dark Fairy is asking her self; what adventure is next? Will I return to my comfort zone or/ and(!) keep looking for the boundaries of that zone? I have been away and things are forever moving. Will I jump in and comfortably follow the stream or will I stand on the river bank for a while just to check the current before I jump in or dip in my toe?
Back to uni. Final year. Final as in it will be the last of the course and final as in I feel I have to/ want to make final actions/ arrangements for Life After Graduation.
I am not gone yet, but time in Lowlands Homeland has gone incredible quickly. I haven’t seen all I wanted to see (yet) and are having great times with the ones I did and do get to see.
I am preparing for a new adventure, because that is what I want my Dark Fairy Life to be about: Love, Wisdom and Loads of Adventure. I hope you’ll keep following Dark Fairy Life at the boundaries of and outside the comfort zone.
Blessings
